Apply for a building information request
You can apply for information on all constructions on your property using this request.

When you apply for a building information request you will need to:

  1. download a Building / Property Information Request Form*
  2. complete all relevant sections
  3. return your application to our Building Services department for processing.
  4. we will invoice you for the payment please do not complete a credit card form.

*Fees relating to the sections required are specified on the form.

Please note: technical advice is only available at 137-149 Mercer Street Geelong

Use this application to apply for the following:

  • details of 'designated areas' - flooding termite snowfall sewered areas
  • details of building permits occupancy permits and certificates issued in the past 10 years
  • details of current building notices and orders
  • various other matters (refer to Building Regulations 2018 Regulation 51).
  • Before undertaking almost any building or demolition work a Building Permit is required. Some minor works are exempted though. To determine whether or not you need a Building Permit refer to the table when a building permit is required.
