    Rates administration

    There are a number of different arrangements for rate payment depending on your personal situation.

    Special rates and charges scheme
    After receiving a request for works, we follow a process of assessment and consultation before making a decision to initiate a scheme or not. The level of preliminary investigation, survey and consultation will usually depend on the complexity of the issues surrounding the need for the infrastructure.
    Property valuation

    Every year a general property revaluation is conducted by the Valuer-General Victoria. These valuations are provided to the City for rating purposes.

    Land information certificates (LICs)
    This certificate tells you about the property that you are purchasing so that when you become the owner, all rates and charges are paid on settlement.
