The Geelong Civic Precinct is a new feature located at 137 Mercer Street Geelong VIC 3220.

The precinct will include close to 2 600 square metres of new community spaces in Central Geelong a customer service centre and centralised offices for the City of Greater Geelong and a second commercial building owned by Quintessential Equity. More information on the project can be found here.

Engagement with the Greater Geelong community in 2019-20 showed a strong theme of meaningful representation of Aboriginal culture throughout the Civic Precinct. The proposed name Wurriki Nyal has come out of consultation with Wadawurrung Traditional Owners. 

Feedback on the proposed name can be sent to civicprecinct@geelongcity.vic.gov.au. Feedback must be received by 16 May 2021.

The proposed name complies with the Victorian Government's Naming rules for places in Victoria – Statutory requirements for naming roads features andlocalities – 2016.
