1. Purpose
To provide appropriate knowledge skills and tools for the safe management of fatigue at the workplace.
2. Scope
This procedure applies to all City of Greater Geelong Employees Contractors and Volunteers whilst at the workplace or carrying out activities on behalf of the City of Greater Geelong

4. Definitions
| City | The City of Greater Geelong |
| EAP | Employee Assistance Program |
| Fatigue | A state of mental and/or physical exhaustion which reduces a person’s ability to perform work safely and effectively. |
| People Leader | Someone who has direct reports. This includes but is not limited to Managers Coordinators Supervisors and Team Leaders. |
| Prior Sleep Wake Model | Is a means for determining a person’s fatigue risk levels based on the amount of sleep obtained in the prior 24 and 48 hour period. |
| Shift Work | Shift work involves working outside normal daylight hours (7am to 6pm). |
