Food lovers will find plenty of flavours to enjoy as the Tastes of Central Geelong festival gets underway this Friday with a program featuring walking tours masterclasses and demonstrations from some of Australia’s favourite chefs.
Award-winning pastry chef Anna Polyviou will headline the festival with a live sweet treat demonstration and DJ set at the Geelong Library and Heritage Centre. Anna has perfected her talents in some of the world’s best kitchens including Pierre Hermé Patisserie in Paris and will demonstrate how to make the perfect sweet treats.

Sweet treat demonstration and DJ set with Anna Polyviou

Yoga and Yarns
Join a yoga class (for most abilities) followed by coffee and pastry from Toasty. 8:00 - 9:30am Monday 20 June and Monday 27 June. Cost: $15. Wonder Yoga 128 Ryrie Street.
Pilates and Bites
Start your Tuesday right with a Pilates class at Upstate Studios followed by a selection of goodies put together by The Fresh Food Merchant. 8:00am to 8:45am Tuesday 14 June Tuesday 21 June Tuesday 28 June. Cost: $15
Fill Your Own Goodie Bag
Just register online before picking up your goodie bag from the Tastes event hub at 60-80 Moorabool Street. Then go on a hunt to pick up goodies from each participating business and exchange a unique token for your goodies. 10am - 2pm Tuesday 14 June Wednesday 15 June Thursday 16 June Friday 17 June. Cost: $10
Fried Chicken and Froths Walking Tour
Tickets are selling fast for this guided walking tour where you can sample fried chicken and crisp local beers at BB Chicken and Beer Huxtaburger Geelong Pistol Petes Valhalla and Laksa Beer and Co. 4pm to 6pm on Friday 17 and Friday 24 June.
Morning Tea Walking Tour
Tickets are selling fast to this tour combining sweets and coffee from thriving cafés including James Street Bakery Wellbar Cakesmith and Central Nutrition. 11am to 12:30pm Monday 20 June and Wednesday 27 June.
