Our Maintenance Officers work to keep rural roadsides clear of grass and vegetation to assist fire prevention and to ensure the roads are safe for all traffic.

Rural roadside slashing
Rural roadside slashing works are programmed in conjunction with our Fire Prevention Program.
Slashing works are scheduled to be completed prior to the commencement of the declared fire season.
Additional slashing works may be undertaken as seasonal conditions dictate.
