Request beach cleaning
We are responsible for beach cleaning and the removal of seaweed/seagrass if required, from beaches under our management.

Together with Bellarine Bayside and Barwon Coast we groom high use beaches prior to Christmas and intermittently as required until Easter. These beaches are generally short in length and have high visitation and are in close proximity to residents or visitors. They include:

  • Portarlington Main Beach
  • Hervey Park St Leonards
  • Moorpanyal Park North Shore
  • Eastern Beach Geelong
  • Clifton Springs Boat Harbour (Harbour to Griggs Creek)
  • The Dell and Edgewater Drive (if required) Clifton Springs.
  • Ocean Grove front beach.

Odour

On occasions accumulated seaweed (seagrass wrack) may generate an odour. This is a natural part of the decomposition process and is not dangerous.

Make a request

When you request a beach cleaning we will need to know:

  • your contact details
  • the exact location of the seaweed you would like removed.
