Turntable Drive, Little River
Wurdi Youang means ‘big hills’ in Wadawurrung language. From the Big Rock lookout you’ll receive almost 360-degree views. You will see Corio Bay and to the right you will see Anakie Youang meaning ‘little hills’. Look below you will see the large rock formation of Bunjil. Look into the sky you may see Bunjil flying over country. He is the creator of this country.
The You Yangs is home to ngaambulmum which means koala. Keep your eyes open for koalas in the beautiful eucalyptus trees and many djirrnaps – Sulphur-crested Cockatoos.
