Leisure Networks - Healthy Sporting Environments Project
The Healthy Sporting Environments Project seeks to address a range of health risk factors in a single large geographic area in Victoria (G21) by engaging with 100 sports clubs. Focuses on:
- healthy eating
- tobacco use
- alcohol use
- sun protection
- injury prevention
- safety
- support and inclusion
for women and girls Indigenous people and those from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Maternal and Child Health
Maternal and Child Health services provides information advice and support to those caring for babies and young children.
Specialist nurses and child health workers carry out health and development reviews via home visits and appointments at Maternal and Child Health Centres.

SunSmart
Sunsmart aims to minimise the human cost of skin cancer in Victoria by encouraging a balanced approach to UV to help with vitamin D and ensure appropriate sun protection measures are used to minimise skin and eye damage and the risk of skin cancer. Resources are available for Early Learning Settings Primary Schools and Secondary Schools.
