Municipal Emergency Management Officer
Council has a legislated responsibility to appoint a Municipal Emergency Management Officer (MEMO) who will coordinate Council's planning for and response to emergencies within the City of Greater Geelong.
Council has appointed the Coordinator Emergency Management and Fire Prevention as the MEMO.
This persons role is to coordinate the planning and response to emergencies to minimise the consequences of that event on our residents.
