Arts Projects Quick Response Grants
A limited amount of funding annually is available for a Quick Response Grant when there is a compelling justification for support.

There is a total grant pool of $220 000 available to cover the three arts grants offered by the City (Arts Projects Professional Development and Quick Response).

Grant amount

Grants of up to $2 000 are available to support individual Arts Projects that aim to foster creativity engage the wider community and embed the role of the arts in the life and experience of the people of the Geelong region.

Who should apply?

Eligible applicants can apply for a quick response grant to support the exploration development and presentation of arts projects for activities that:

  • that are urgent or time-sensitive
  • that require a commitment of funding outside of the Arts Projects Grants annual round and for projects
  • that seek an urgent commitment of funding to support a funding application timeline of other levels of government
  • to act on opportunities that were unknown at the time of the Arts Projects grant round

Applications

For a pre-assessment of your eligibility to apply for an Artists & Creatives Professional Development Grant please email the Arts & Culture Department a short description of your proposal (100 words or less) to artsculture@geelongcity.vic.gov.au. Please include your name and phone number so that an officer may contact you for further information if required.

If your proposal is supported you will be provided with a link to the SmartyGrants online application form.

Closing date: Closed - funds have been exhausted for 2022-2023

Notification of outcomes

Outcomes of applications will be announced within four to six weeks following submission of applications.
