The MLAK System
The MLAK allows people with disability to access dedicated public facilities such as accessible toilets Changing Places and in adaptive playground equipment (Liberty Swing) that are not available to general public.
Purchasing a MLAK
People with a disability are able to purchase a MLAK key that will open all doors toilets and playground equipment fitted with a MLAK.
A MLAK can be ordered from the Master Locksmiths Association of Australasia Ltd by completing the MLAK Order Form. Eligibility criteria must be met.
MLAK Access from the City
People with disability carers and disability organisations can borrow a MLAK key for a day at no charge. You can borrow a MLAK key any day of the week from:
- National Wool Museum between 10:00am and 4:00pm
- Geelong Carousel between 11:00am and 4:30pm
The MLAK is available for daily use and must be returned to the same location from where it was collected. Bookings are not required.
For people who cannot obtain a MLAK key via the above procedures a request may be sent to our Community Inclusion Team via Customer Service (details below). An assessment of the request will be made to ensure prerequisites are met prior to a key being allocated.

To find MLAK fitted toilets visit the National Public Toilet Map. Useful information is provided about each facility such as location and travel routes to get to the toilet.
The Liberty Swing is a swing accessible to wheel chairs.
