RECHARGE Scheme TM - Wheelchairs and scooters
The RECHARGE Scheme™ offers people who use an electric mobility scooter or wheelchair, support to get out and about in their local community without the fear of being stranded by a flat battery.
This is possible through the generousity of local business and community organisations who provide free use of a power point to customers who use an electric mobility scooter or wheelchair to recharge their battery if required.
You can recharge at any business that displays the RECHARGE Point logo.
Bringing your own charger
If you have an off board charger you will need to bring it with you to the RECHARGE site.

Further assistance
We provide further assistance to help you travel safely and independently around Geelong by:
- undertaking regular path inspections
- responding to requests to repair dangerous kerbs broken concrete or uneven footpaths
- removing overhanging branches
- responding to complaints about parked cars or trailers blocking footpaths
- responding to requests for better street access
