We understand that car parking is an ongoing concern in central Geelong. We are developing a car parking strategy for central Geelong as well as working with the state government and other key agencies to improve the transport experience in and around the CBD as the region adjusts to strong growth. We’re working towards our community-led Clever and Creative vision of 50 per cent of journeys to work conducted by public transport walking or cycling. In our Civic Precinct we’ve created an active accessible public precinct with end-of-trip facilities to encourage active transport such as walking and riding. For many staff proximity to the Geelong Railway Station provides better public transport options via bus and train for staff and community alike.
