Grievance policy
From time to time stallholders may encounter issues with other stallholders and/or members of the public.
The Belmont Market promotes a positive community and environment and encourages minor disputes to be resolved immediately in a friendly nature.
Consideration of complaints will be guided by the principles of fairness impartiality and ethical behaviour as well as the following two pillars in determining outcomes:
- Belmont Market terms and conditions conditions of entry and stallholder code of conduct
- City of Greater Geelong and Belmont Market venue policies procedures and processes.
In the event we are not able to provide a suitable solution immediately the responsible City Management team will determine an outcome of which must be readily accepted by all parties.
The City is not obligated to respond to complaints which do not align with the above-mentioned principles and pillars.
Please note: Stallholders are not agents of the City and they do not represent the City or its values.
