During COVID limited seating capacities and rules are applicable ensuring we provide COVIDSafe events.

We are proud to be home to Geelong Supercats NBL1 season. Tickets are available online. Please call 03 5277 1388 or visit their office at AWA stadium - 20 Crows Road in Belmont.

Conventions and Expos

The Geelong Arenas diverse facilities are ideal for trade shows exhibitions and expo events.

With over 3 000 square metres of exhibition space briefing rooms function and catering facilities the venue can transform into any floor plan configuration your event requires.

The venue has hosted the following:

Functions

The Geelong Arena’s function room provides quality dining and bar facilities for groups of any size up to 200.

The Arena’s Auditorium has the ability to host functions and gala events for up to 500 guests.

You can select your catering options with the friendly Geelong Arena staff. Flexibility is provided to ensure the catering is tailored to your budget either through in-house or via our preferred external catering.

Sports events

The Arena hosts many high class sporting events and regular State Basketball games.

The venue comprises four purpose built basketball courts one being an international standard Showcourt.

The Arena is the Home of Geelong Supercats and is a great experience for the whole family.Geelong United Basketball domestic VJBL and BigV competitions are also hosted at the venue.

Concerts and live entertainment 

Previous shows include a swag of talent Human Nature Amity Affliction RUFUS Suzi Quatro Reece Mastin Jessica Mauboy Kris Kristofferson Justice Crew Celtic Thunder INXS John Farnham Chris Isaacs Kelly Clarkson Cat Empire and many more.

Sharing the stage for all the Arena is also focused on community events hosting school concerts  and charity events.

The Arena Auditorium has 1500 reserved tiered seats the capacity can be expanded to up to 2500 considering portable seats and/or standing room options.

An extensive range of sound and lighting options all of which are to concert and/or television production standards can be accommodated.

Staging and drapes are erected on an event by event basis to suit your needs. We can also access or recommend appropriate technical contractors for production.

Our preferred onsite production team Total Events provide over 30 years experience having intimate knowledge of the venue working collaboratively with the venue and you.

We have ample backstage facilities including lounge bar and other soft furnishings providing an excellent area to relax pre-show assemble the show performers or unwind after the encore performance. Two large dressing rooms adjoin this area with toilet shower and change room facilities.

  • Yes the Arena Café located on the ground level is open evenings during Geelong United Basketball domestic season and major events. Selling a large variety of hot and cold food drinks including hot beverages. Geelong Arena supports healthy options and traffic light system. On level two we have the function room and bar. With an overview of the auditorium this facility is most popular for pre-event drinks and a chat.  The Arena Café Bar is on ground floor with a liquor licence for certain events  with each event assessed whether it is to be a licensed event or not.  See event calendar for details of food and beverage service per event.  
  • Yes. The Arena has both an on premise licence and a general licence which allows alcohol sales in almost all areas within the venue.  The Arena also support events for all ages and provides an alcohol free environment on request. Services will be reflective to each event specifics and details published in the event calendar.
  • Each tenant manages their own lost property with all public areas managed by the venue. If an item is lost in the Annex during a Geelong United Basketball activity such is left in Annex lost property box overnight and venue management clear next business day.   Please call the Geelong Arena office during business hours on 03 5278 3092. Lost property: Any valuables left are after two weeks recorded and handed to Police. Clothing or other items besides valuables are kept on site for two weeks. Items are safely collected bagged and donated to local charities after such time. Drink bottles are treated as rubbish and if found thrown out nightly for hygiene reasons. Please look after you belongings. The Geelong Arena is not liable for any lost property.
  • Yes. Prams and strollers are welcome please follow signs per event for storage locations which ensure aisle ways and egress is kept clear.
