Music in the City - Beachniks

We are excited to announce the Beachniks will be performing in Little Malop Central. This band has been playing and living in Lorne for about 15 years. This has enabled the band to develop their own unique sound.
They describe their music as ‘Nu-Surf’ which is a blend (in equal amounts) of Dub reggae 60’s garage surf-rock folk and jazz.
Releasing 2 CDs on the Jazzhead label and in addition to this the bands leader Jeff Raglus did his own solo release ‘Bellatrix’ which heavily featured The Beachniks.
They regularly play as an acoustic trio version but are best known as the danceworthy electric 4 piece lineup with Simon Dawe on drums Jeff Raglus on trumpet guitar and vocals Randall Forsythe on guitar and Evan Jones on bass.
C’mon feel the noise of the Nu Surf Sound!
