Request nature strip mowing
We will investigate and action reports of overgrown grass on naturestrips that are fire hazards or affect visibility of traffic at intersections.

When you request nature strip mowing you will need to:

  • describe the issue
  • advise the location of the nature strip - you may prefer to select the address by dragging the map marker
  • attach any images and
  • if you want feedback tell us
    • your name
    • your contact email or phone.

Please note: We mow/slash nature strips that have been reported as overgrown and are a fire hazard (and are adjacent to developed blocks) once per year during the fire season.

  • No  we will not maintain nature strips on a regular basis. On direction from our Fire Prevention Officer we will remove fire hazards.  We will only repair safety issues on established nature strips. 
  • If the damage on a nature strip is caused by a service provider the damage should be repaired by the relevant service provider. If it is unknown who caused the damage please report the damage so that we will investigate the matter further.
  • We have a set policy regarding naturestrips. Please refer to our approved alternative nature strip surface page or contact our Customer Service Team for more information.
