Lost and found pets
If we find your cat or dog in a public place, we will try and contact you.
If we cant reach you we will take your pet to the Geelong Animal Welfare Society.
Lost pets
If you have lost a pet we recommend you:
- post on social media especially local community pages
- contact your local vet Geelong Animal Welfare Society and Geelong Animal Emergency.
Found pets
If you have found an animal you can:
- contact us on 03 5272 5272 between 8:00am and 6:00pm from Monday to Friday. Our Animal Management Officers always try to reunite pets with their owners
- check social media to see if anyone has reported the pet missing
- take the pet to your local vet Geelong Animal Welfare Society or Geelong Animal Emergency.
Securing your pets at home
It is your responsibility to ensure your pet has a safe and secure home. We recommend you conduct frequent yard checks to ensure there are no areas where your pet can get out.
