Desexing
All cats must be desexed prior to being registered for the first time.
Cat curfew
There is a cat curfew in place in our municipality. This means your cat must be confined in a secured environment – that is inside a building or enclosure – your property from sunset to sunrise.
Roaming cats
We can provide you with a cat cage free of charge to help you capture roaming cats. If you capture a stray cat please ensure it is safetly contained. Once secure one of the Animal Management Officers will then collect the cat from your property.
Cat adoption
Geelong Animal Welfare Society has a pet adoption service. All pets purchased through GAWS will be desexed and microchipped before you take them home.
