There are many opportunities each year for volunteering at events in Geelong.

Volunteering is a great way to see an event from the inside to make new friends to give back to the community or simply to get out and about on weekends and do something fun and active!

We do not directly manage or coordinate the volunteer programs at the events staged in our region however we do offer a service to event organisers where we can contact our database of volunteers.

Our database is a list of people who have expressed an interest in receiving information on volunteering opportunities.

We don’t store names or any other information – we simply retain your email address on that database and when opportunities arise to volunteer at an event we send out an email with the details. 

It’s up to you whether you action the opportunity or not!

To join our database email us (eventvolunteers@geelongcity.vic.gov.au) with the subject line Join Event Volunteer Database.

Typically we may email you around 6 – 10 times a year so we definitely won’t cram your inbox! We simply drop you a note when a volunteering opportunity in a Geelong event exists.
