Geelong born Miller was considered the most beautiful woman in Australia in the 1930’s when she travelled the world as the Great Magician Dante’s assistant.
She shot to fame when she met Dante in Melbourne when she was appearing in a musical revue. Dante asked her to be part of his show and she went on to become known as one of the all-time great magic assistants.
The striking mural of Moi-Yo Miller is a fantastic way to connect the community to one of Geelong’s iconic faces.
Local artist Michael Cassar spent hours of work on the mural and he is another example of the extraordinary creative talents that we have living in and contributing to the cultural fabric of our City.
The mural is the final part of the City’s 5GID Street Art project.

2022 Women’s Street Art Commission Project
In early 2022, we commissioned a group of female street artists to bring their work to Geelong’s walls, car
parks and laneways.
