Learning Programs
The National Wool Museum offers a fun and exciting range of guided
tours and workshops for schools, facilitated by our trained educators.
Through our learning experiences students can:
- explore the story of Geelong and the region through wool fibre textiles industry and the environment.
- discover unique and fascinating exhibits objects and machines
- see the 1910 Axminster Jacquard carpet loom the grand centrepiece of the museum in action
- connect with the stories and perspectives of people and places of the region
- make and create with wool fibre and textiles.
School programs
Our museum educator-led tours and workshops are available for all our wool-centred permanent exhibitions and exciting range of temporary exhibitions.
All facilitated programs are led by experienced museum educators and align with the Victorian Curriculum.

Request for school facilities to open out of hours
The Greater Geelong Council will approach the Victorian Government about opening state school playgrounds and outdoor sporting facilities for community use outside of school hours.
