Playground inspections and maintenance

We inspect and maintain a network of more than 300 playgrounds and play equipment throughout our municipality.

Playgrounds in Greater Geelong range from small local playgrounds to large regional playgrounds such as Rippleside Park Barwon Valley Fun Park and the Geelong Play Space.

Playgrounds inspections

Inspections on playgrounds are carried out on our parks and reserves Kardinia Park and Queens Park.

Eastern Park Playspace is inspected daily from Monday to Friday.

Playgrounds maintenance

We maintain our playgrounds to provide the community with a safe and clean environment in which to enjoy the playgrounds.

The playgrounds and the equipment within our parks and reserves are maintained to a safe and high standard.

Graffiti as defined in the Graffiti Prevention Act 2007:

"To write, draw, mark, scratch or otherwise deface property by any means so that the defacement is not readily removable by wiping with a dry cloth without property owners permission."
