Community halls and hubs - fees and charges
Fees and charges apply for the hire of our community halls.
All rates excluding bonds and insurance are charged per hour and are current for the 2022-2023 financial year. All below amounts are GST inclusive and will commence from 01/08/2022.
- Off-peak times: from Monday until 5:00pm Friday (minimum two hours hire)
- Peak times: Friday from 5:00pm to Sunday and all public holidays (minimum four hours hire)
- Hourly rates are charged in 60 minute blocks and charges are capped at eight hours per day
- Discounted rates: incorporated community groups not-for-profit community groups and registered charities may be eligible for a 50 per cent discount on hourly rates subject to eligibility.

Hirers are advised that we may alter or extend these conditions of hire at any time without notice.
Geelong West Town Hall
Geelong West Town Hall is a large hall with two separate hire spaces, ideal for large functions as well as smaller meetings.
Cobbin Homestead and Chapel
The Homestead can cater for up to 100 people, and the chapel can fit approximately 70 (seated) or around 85 (with standing room).
Newcomb Hall
Newcomb Hall is medium sized hall for functions up to 150 people in the main hall and has a separate meeting room.
Lara Hall
Lara Hall is medium sized hall for functions up to 200 people in the main hall and has a separate meeting room.
Cobradah Homestead
The Cobradah Homestead is a smaller venue ideal for meetings, small community events and celebrations for up to 50 people.
Mount Duneed Hall
Very small hall ideal for meetings and children's party alongside BBQ and playground area.
Virginia Todd Hall
The Virginia Todd Community Centre contains a small hall ideal for quieter activities such as yoga and children's programs.
St Leonards Reserve Hall
St Leonards Reserve Hall is a medium sized hall suitable for bookings up to 100 patrons.
Portarlington Parks Hall
Parks Hall includes a large civic hall for up to 350 patrons with two adjoining meeting/function rooms also available.

Armstrong Creek is one of Geelong’s and Victoria’s fastest growing suburbs, and soon its residents and families will have state-of-the-art education and sports facilities in their own backyard.
Marcus Hill Memorial Hall
Medium-sized hall located at Marcus Hill Reserve which is home to a number of local community groups and available for casual hire.
