About the Geelong Arena
The Geelong Arena is regions largest multi use sports and entertainment venue hosting a wide variety of community, sport and entertainment events all year round.

  • Yes the Arena Café located on the ground level is open evenings during Geelong United Basketball domestic season and major events. Selling a large variety of hot and cold food drinks including hot beverages. Geelong Arena supports healthy options and traffic light system. On level two we have the function room and bar. With an overview of the auditorium this facility is most popular for pre-event drinks and a chat.  The Arena Café Bar is on ground floor with a liquor licence for certain events  with each event assessed whether it is to be a licensed event or not.  See event calendar for details of food and beverage service per event.  
  • No - The Geelong Arena does not have swimming pool or gymnasium facilities. Please see our Swim Sport and Leisure venues to locate your nearest council Centre.
  • Yes. The Arena has both an on premise licence and a general licence which allows alcohol sales in almost all areas within the venue.  The Arena also support events for all ages and provides an alcohol free environment on request. Services will be reflective to each event specifics and details published in the event calendar.
  • Each tenant manages their own lost property with all public areas managed by the venue. If an item is lost in the Annex during a Geelong United Basketball activity such is left in Annex lost property box overnight and venue management clear next business day.   Please call the Geelong Arena office during business hours on 03 5278 3092. Lost property: Any valuables left are after two weeks recorded and handed to Police. Clothing or other items besides valuables are kept on site for two weeks. Items are safely collected bagged and donated to local charities after such time. Drink bottles are treated as rubbish and if found thrown out nightly for hygiene reasons. Please look after you belongings. The Geelong Arena is not liable for any lost property.
  • Yes. Prams and strollers are welcome please follow signs per event for storage locations which ensure aisle ways and egress is kept clear.
  • Toilets ATM Café and bar facilities per event or activity
  • No - the Geelong Arena is a non-smoking venue/environment.
