Northern and Western Geelong Growth Areas

Geelong's growth

The Northern and Western Geelong growth areas constitute the largest greenfield planning project in regional Victoria with a combined future population of approximately 110,000 new Geelong residents.

Importantly the current boundary of each growth area does not represent the ultimate development extent of each growth area.

Land identified within each growth area may or may not be suitable for urban development and will be subject to further analysis as part of the framework planning process.

The Armstrong Creek growth area is the largest contiguous growth area in Victoria, consisting of 2,500 hectares of develop-able land, and is one of the largest growth fronts in the country.
