The developers neighbouring Batten Road are required to rebuild the older roads which service their development so they can manage the increased traffic volumes. If these roads were to remain open until they were rebuilt it is likely there would be increased road safety issues. The road would need additional inspections and maintenance incurring additional cost to Council.
-
Batten Road will remain closed until it is constructed to an urban standard by the neighbouring developers. This includes the road being sealed and suitable drainage constructed. We do not have an exact timeline for the construction of Batten Road. We will keep you informed as more information comes to hand.
