Kardinia Park - Grounds maintenance
We are responsible for the maintenance of the surrounding grounds and facilities in Kardinia Park.
Our officers regularly maintain the Kardinia Park precinct to keep it to a high standard.
Grounds that Council maintains include:
- Kardinia Park Netball Complex
- Geelong Football Umpires League Pavilion
- St Marys Football Club and West Oval
- Geelong Cricket Club Oval.
This provides our community with a safe and clean environment in which to enjoy the playing areas and grounds in Kardinia Park.
Maintenance includes things such as:
- garden areas
- sporting grounds such as cricket or netball playing surfaces
- turf maintenance
- access roads and footpaths
- sporting grounds infrastructure such as fences or goalposts
- graffiti on buildings.

Kardinia Park was first proclaimed a public park in 1872, with the name ‘Kardinia’ meaning ‘Sunrise’ in the aboriginal language.
